Free Recycling for CTU Members
Clean and Green - 15th October 2010We’re really excited to announce the launch of a new free recycling scheme to BID members. We’ve teamed up with First Mile to provide you with a free and simple mixed recycling collection service. We’ll supply you with an allocation of sacks that will accept all your paper, plastics, metals, tetrapak, card and cardboard mixed together (there’s no need for you to separate anything!). Leave your CTU sacks out on the pavement by 18.00 every Wednesday and First Mile will be along to collect. It really is as simple as that. ... more

Repainting an Icon
Clean and Green - 8th January 2010The lovely representative from L'Oreal, Councillor Keith Moffitt, Leader of Camden Council & CTU's Chief Executive Simon Pitkeathley. In 2007, Camden Town Unlimited were approached by Garnier and L'Oreal with funds to give a much needed facelife to the world famous mural on the South face of the Camden Lock Bridge, which had not been repainted since it was first done over 20 years earlier by Camden Lock Market. ... more

Camden High Street North Consultation
Clean and Green - 6th January 2010Recently the London Borough of Camden expanded on the commissioned work we had developed with Gillespies LLP, Camden Town First, a streetscape plan for Camden Town. LB Camden adapted the plans in finer detailed design with the commission of Urban Initiatives, and one of the 5 projects, that of Camden High Street North, was put to formal public consultation. This consultation has recently closed, and we are awaiting decisions on recommendations to the council. ... more
