Camden High Street North Works
26th February 2010The works to transform the north end of Camden High Street that began in late 2009 have been continuing in early 2010, and currently are delivering one of the most significant and exciting phases of the whole works programme. The entire section of road heading north from the junction with Hawley Crescent/Jamestown Road is being re-laid in York Stone.
As well as this, the bridge over the canal is having the footpath width increased on the eastern side to reflect the size of the western side. This will ease the unsafe pedestrian congestion that occurs here every week. As always, these works are being carried out after full traffic modelling was done to ensure that once finished, traffic will flow as normal.
