EECO Awards for CTU Members
9th July 2010CTU Members Sheppard Robson and KOKO were recognised for demonstrating environmental excellence, at an awards ceremony at the CBI Conference centre on Thursday 1st July 2010.
The EECO Awards 2010 were judged by a panel of experts from Alliance members Envido, Camco, and the Bloomsbury Combined Heat and Power Consortium and from the Mayor of London’s Green 500 scheme.
With an impressive 30% increase on applications for this year's awards, the competition for prizes was always going to be tough and so it proved to be. There were some excellent applications from across all the categories and from organisations of all sectors and sizes. The judges had a tough time deciding which organisations deserved particular praise and in fact all the applicants were congratulated on the night for their efforts.
Koko received an award for 'Innovation in waste management and recycling', whilst Sheppard Robson was awarded a Carbon Champion Mark. Sheppard Robson employee Sarah Edwards also received an award for 'Exceptional contribution by an individual to their organisation’s environmental performance'.
