Habitar Portugal

From 24th June – 5th July Collective will be hosting Habitar Portugal, part of the LFA international Architecture Showcase. Initiated by the Portugese embassy in London, Habitar Portugal is an exhibition of Portugese Architecture that presents a comprehensive range of works, which on various scales and in diverse geographic and cultural environments, contribute to improving to build the settings as well as the quality of life of the citizens.

Opening 25th June 2010 at 8.00pm 25 June - 4 July 2010

Monday to Friday from 6.00pm to 10.00pm

Saturdays and Sundays, from 10.00am to 9.00pm

Side events: Talk with Pedro Gadanho, architect and curator of the exhibition. Saturday 20th June - 11.00am Crescent Speakers Pavilion

Tim Bruce-Dick MAhons AAdip RIBA

Tim received an MA in the History of Art from Edinburgh University and a Diploma in Architecture from the Architectural Association School in London. He then worked for Arup Associates before starting his practice. Tim has been actively engaged with the theory and history of architecture throughout his career. He taught architectural design and history at Oxford Polytechnic Architecture Department and has led many architectural study tours throughout Britain, Europe, Russia and America. He has recently been teaching The Appreciation of Contemporary Architecture in London while leading many walks in the Capital. His interest in history and theory combined with over 30 years of practice means he has a deep understanding of historic buildings and how contemporary architecture can fit into our culture and environment.
