Camden Town: Turning London On
17th January 2010
In October 2008 CTU finished the partner mural for the iconic image on Camden Lock Bridge to tie in with the launch of the Camden Town: Turning London On campaign, which was a jointly led campaign we worked on with the London Borough of Camden and the GLA, which not only had the local centrepiece as the north face of the railway bridge – the first bold public art statement in the town centre for over 20 years, but included bold (and huge) billboard sites across London and a large new online web presence to give real focus to Camden Town in it's own right.
This was the first ever marketing and PR campaign undertaken exclusively for Camden Town, and we feel was just the first of many striking steps forwards we will take in the years to come.
The launch date also included a photography event run by Shoot Experience entitled Capture Camden, live music by local stars performing on a narrow boat on the canal in Camden Lock and a large number of local venues running an event called Super Sunday, bringing all of Camden Town together and to life.
