Security Patrols
Cut Crime - 14th January 2010
As one of our pre-election promises, we deployed weekday evening security patrols over the winter months to make people feel safer. This raised awareness of the need for a larger uniformed presence in Camden Town, and the Met and LBC have joint funded additional officers since to dedicate an additonal team of 18 PCSO's and 10 PC's to Camden Town. It is safe to say it has been a major factor in reducing crime, with a year on year average of 30%.
